Bounty Stuffed Snowballs
Ah! The CIA Agent of the cookie world.
This cookie goes by so many names (snowballs, mexican wedding cookies, Russian Teacakes, Pecan Butter Balls...just to name a couple) that you'd think it was on the run!
But this is one understated cookie.

Royal Icing Snowflake Tutorial
Okay so here we have my first ever cookie decorating tutorial for you. There's something about sitting down at the kitchen table, after little miss has gone too bed and whipping out my piping bag and decorating a batch of cookies that i find comforting and relaxing.
This is just a really simple but effective way of jazzing up those yummy cookies you have, that you'd like to look a little more impressive.

Chocolate Candy Cane Cupcakes
Yes Christmas is still a good few weeks away but I've been dying to make something with candy canes and it's been a while since I baked some cupcakes.
So naturally it had to come in cupcake form.
I love candy canes! Not that I actually eat them.
I'm more of a stick on the christmas tree or use one as a spoon in hot chocolate kinda gal, but now that I've started this blog here I thought it was about time I baked with it.

Honey and Banana Cake
The name of this beautiful cake really serves it no justice. It's so much more than a plain, old Honey and Banana cake.
It warmth, comfort and big taste all in one cake.

Snickerdoodles
Ah Cinnamon, My spicy winter friend!
For me the ultimate christmassy smell is that of something cinnamony (is that even a word??) baking in the oven.
Now when it comes too cookies I've always been more of a chewy/crispy cookie kinda gal but after trying these I may possibly be converted.

The Hungry Monster Cookie
Yesterday was one of those days.
You know those days. You've just had your breakfast, you're all ready for your day and then all of a sudden it's 4'o'clock in the afternoon, you're damn near starving and there's practically nothing in the house except for some flour, a bag of porridge oats and some peanut butter..........
Yup that kind of a day. There I was running around like a looney from toddler group, to washing the dishes, to making and packaging a truck load of tablet, to entertaining the 20 month old who seemed to have very suddenly lost any sense of balance and kept tripping over thin air.

Boozy Irish Cream Brigadeiros
'Tis the season to bake all things boozy, and I'm throwing myself in head first.
Yup the seasonal respite I was going to provide lasted all of .... well less than 24 hours. I just couldn't help myself.
I woke up this morning with twitchy fingers to start my Christmas baking, momentarily annoyed himself with crazy talk of all the things I had planned to bake before I gave in and started with Number 1 on my list. Kind of like Santa's lst only way yummier.
The Boozy Brigadeiro!!!!
Yeah that's right, I'm taking a Brazilian truffle/sweet/bonbon that's already amazing in its own right and giving it an awesome Irish spin.

Chocolate & Orange Whoopie Pies
So with Christmas swiftly creeping up on us and before I start my festive bakeathon (I love Chirstmas, It's more than my favourite time of year so expect plenty of Christmas goodies coming your way) I decided to give you a bit of seasonal respite.
Yup that's right. This post is a strictly peppermint, cinnamon and allspice and mulled wine free zone. (I can't believe I'm saying this!)
